MISSION
“To provide the most innovative, quality multilingual educational programs."

Our Philosophy
At Bambinos International Learning Center, we believe your child is a unique individual. We provide a safe, loving, nurturing and creative multilingual environment. We are sensitive to their social, emotional intellectual and physical needs. We provide developmentally appropriate programs that focus on the process of learning while also helping them to enjoy many other successful experiences.

“We encourage learning and the love of learning.”

Our Principles

  • Quality Educational Programs
  • Highly Qualified Staff
  • Low Student-to-Teacher Ratio
  • Custom Designed Facilities
  • Flexible Schedules for Working Parents
  • Diversity

A Family Center
At Bambinos we recognize that a child comes to us as a member of a family. We interact with parents about curriculum, care giving practices, developmental milestones and cultural events. We welcome parental and community participation in our programs. Our open door policy encourages parents to visit our center at any time
.

Here are ways you can become involved:

  • Family Days
One Friday of every month, all of our classrooms involve families to participate in activities and fun.
  • Encouraging Involvement
Parents are always welcome in the classroom. Our teachers can always use a hand. There is a sign up sheet at the front desk with current volunteer opportunities in our classroom.
  • Parent Advisory Board
We have an advisory board formed by parents and community members. We meet every other month for two hours. Please let us know if you are interested in being part of this board.

Commitment to Quality MORE >>
Our early education facilities are much more than child care centers. They are dynamic learning environments in which children flourish. Our curriculum incorporates a comprehensive multilingual program that emphasizes the importance of active learning, language, and the role of teachers as mentors and facilitators.

Eco-Healthy Accreditation
- Eco- Healthy Child Care
Our Hood River and White Salmon facilities hold the Eco-Healthy Child Care Certification by the Oregon Environmental Council.

National Association for the Education of Young Children
We are also actively pursuing acceditation of the NAEYC. This is a professional organization dedicated to helping every child to get the highest quality of care and education available. NAEYC accreditation continues to be one of the most reliable signs of quality care. The NAEYC provides the guidelines for evaluation of each center that you visit.

Our Staff
The Bambinos staff demonstrate the highest standards of professionalism. Each classroom has a bilingual team of teachers. Our Head Teachers have higher education in Early Childhood Learning and our Assistant Teachers have extensive experience working with children. One of the teachers is a native Spanish speaker while the other is a native English speaker. We want to ensure that children experience both languages with a natural accent.

Our staff is required to complete the following list of training and/or certifications in order to be employed at Bambinos:

  • Pediatric First Aid and CPR
  • State Food Handlers Certification
  • Minimum 15 hours continued education credits per month
  • Blood Borne Pathogens Training
  • Negative Tuberculosis (TB) Test
  • Criminal Background Check
  • Driving Record Investigation

Birthdays of the Month
The first Friday of each month we recognize the children's birthdays that fall within that month. In addition to this monthly celebration, parents are welcome to plan classroom festivities on their child's birthday.

As this is a peanut free facility, we have restrictions on the types of treats parents may bring to share with classmates as part of a birthday celebration. Please read our Food Policy in our Parent Handbook.
