A Family Center
At Bambinos we recognize that a child comes to us as a member of a family.
We interact with parents about curriculum, care giving practices, developmental
milestones and cultural events at the center. We welcome the participation
of parents in the center and invite community participation in our programs.
Commitment to Quality
Our early education facilities are much more than places where parents leave children for care; they are dynamic learning environments in which children flourish. Our curriculum incorporates a comprehensive bilingual program that emphasizes the importance of active learning, language, and the role of teachers as mentors and facilitators.
We are committed to creating child care and early education programs that meet the standards of excellence set by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Our goal is to provide a safe, well-structured and age appropriate environment that will enable your child to feel free to create new things and explore a world full of different flavors, textures, images and sounds. At the same time we offer a warm and nurturing environment that will help your child build trusting and affectionate relationships with their peers and their community.
From infants to school age children, our education programs foster the skills necessary for your child to succeed at both school and life. Our program is structured with time to learn and play. Each day is filled with art, music, dramatic play, games and other fun activities. Our caring teachers present your child with new experiences in many different learning areas. Children learn about science, music and art through hands-on projects and themed activities.
Our guiding principle is to help your child master the skills needed to succeed in school and life, including a strong sense of play. Whether you are looking for a nurturing start for your infant or toddler, a pre-school or kindergarten, or an engaging after-school experience you will find a well-rounded program here.
Our Bilingual and Immersion Preschool Programs are the heart of our early childhood program. With a proven, step-by-step curriculum, we build the necessary skills for your child to become successful in a second language.
Experts agree that “classes taught by the immersion method—where instruction is conducted solely in the second language—can help a child to become bilingual. Singing songs and learning to count, doing movement and dance, all in the context of hearing a foreign language—that is the deal.” Nancy Rhodes, director of the Foreign Language Education Division at the Center for Applied Linguistic in Washington, DC.
Accreditations
We are the only Day Care in the State of Washington that holds the Eco- Healthy
Child Care Certification by the Oregon Environmental Council. www.oeconline.org
We are also members of the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
This is a professional organization dedicated to helping every child to get the
highest quality of care and education available. NAEYC accreditation continues
to be one of the most reliable signs of quality care. The NAEYC provides the
guidelines for evaluation of each center that you visit. www.naeyc.org
